Needs of the Many....
Submitted by Robert Kojima on Thu, 08/30/2007 - 5:06pm.On August 25 in San Francisco, the State Board of Directors whom are responsible for the matters that affect individual associations in the GSGRA as a whole met. Here are just some of the things that were discussed:
Resolving a seven year issue, a vote of 11-1-2 (Y-N-A) decided in favor of releasing Sacramento, Placer, and San Joaquin counties to the Sacramento Capitol Crossroads Gay Rodeo Association (SCCGRA) so that they may apply for IGRA membership.
Save a Rodeo - Ride a Cowpoke
Submitted by Robert Kojima on Thu, 08/30/2007 - 12:50pm.The beginning of August kicked off with the Royalty and Dance Extravaganza at Oil Can Harry’s, which was a great night where chapter members gathered and enjoyed each other(!). In addition to a royalty contest for the LA Chapter, there were casino tables, prize raffles, and entertainment from the LA Wranglers, Tommy the UK Cowboy, and Miss Tina Rhinestone that rounded out the evening.
George Washington (Feb 5, 1945 - Jul 4, 2007)

George Washington, who was well-known for the constant smile on his face, passed away on July 4. George was one of the rodeo’s most faithful volunteers – you could count on him to show up and help with a job most people were too busy for, especially when you least expected it - and he always did it with such delight and eagerness. George was a fixture selling rodeo tickets each year and it seemed he always outsold all the other box office volunteers with his enthusiasm. He als

GLAC at the Autry
Submitted by Bryan Bennett on Wed, 08/29/2007 - 3:22pm.On Saturday, July 28, 2007, some of our Rodeo regulars, Bryan Bennett and Tony Miller and Roz Campbell and Sue Lane met at The Autry National Museum of the American West to see the exhibits. We marveled at intricate metal carving on old pistols and rifles, viewed paintings of ranch and high country scenes, and dreamed back to Hollywood films and TV shows of the old West.
