Volunteer at the 2008 LA Rodeo!

Friday - Sunday June 20-22, 2008

We've got a number of opportunities to volunteer for the Rodeo and appreciate everyone who is working to make this the best event on the circuit!

Here is a list of the volunteer spots.  Contact our Volunteer Coordinator  if you are interested in helping out.  Make sure your e-mail includes your First & Last Name, Telephone #, T-shirt Size, and the shift you would like to sign up for (Day = Friday & or Saturday & Or Sunday)!

Hotel-based volunteer opportunities

Friday 6/20, 12pm - 7pm - Pool Party at Host Hotel - Seeking Pool Monitors  

Friday 6/20, 4pm-9pm - Registration & Set Up

Saturday 6/21, 5pm-Midnight - Drag Show + Country Dance - Set Up Help, Security - Hall Monitors

Sunday 6/22, 5pm-Midnight - Awards Show - Set Up Help, Security - Hall Monitors

If you wish to stay at the hotel, rates are $119 per night and can be reserved online or by calling (800) 228-9890 and asking for the "LA Rodeo Rate".  We suggest you to book soon, for only a limited number of rooms have been set aside at this rate.

Arena-based volunteer opportunities

Saturday and Sunday 6/21-22, Seeking Volunteers for Main Event to be held at the Rancho Potrero Equestrian Center: 4790 W Potrero Rd Newbury Park, CA 91320

****IMPORTANT: We advise against using GPS to find venue as many systems (even updates) may give incorrect information. ****

FROM ALL POINTS: 101 Freeway to Lynn Road exit near Thousand Oaks (from host hotel, head on 101 North for 17.6 mi) Head south for 6 miles on Lynn Road. Look for venue down road on left after signs "Via Goleta/National State Park". Entrance should be across from Via Andrea on left. Parking NOT allowed in neighborhoods or Potrero/Lynn Roads.

Volunteers are needed either (or both!) Saturday 6/21 or Sunday 6/22 in the following areas and time slots:

Arena: 800am-1230pm, 1130am-400pm, 130pm-600pm

Chutes: 800am-1230pm, 1130am-400pm, 130pm-600pm

Rakers: 800am-1230pm, 1130am-400pm, 130pm-600pm

Safety/Security: 730am-1200pm, 930am-200pm, 130pm-600pm

Ticket Sellers: 730am-1200pm, 930am-200pm, 130pm-600pm

Ticket Takers: 730am-1200pm, 930am-200pm, 130pm-600pm

ID Wrist Banders: 730am-1200pm, 930am-200pm, 130pm-600pm

Volunteer Relations: 700am-1100am, 930am-200pm, 130pm-600pm

Beverages: 800am-1230pm, 1130am-400pm, 130pm-600pm
